The Hazara community in Afghanistan has a long and painful history of persecution, discrimination, marginalization, and violence in Afghanistan. Throughout modern history, Hazaras have been subjected to systematic discrimination and severe human rights violations, including mass killings, massacres, forced displacement, and exclusion because of their ethnic and religious identity. These historical injustices have had a profound and lasting impact on the Hazara community and remain an important part of understanding the challenges and vulnerabilities they continue to face today. In the present situation, Hazaras continue to face discrimination, marginalization, exclusion, and serious security threats. Their equal participation in social, political, economic, and public life remains challenged, while targeted attacks and other forms of discrimination continue to threaten their safety, dignity, and fundamental rights. The organization considers it part of its humanitarian and human rights mission to stand with the Hazara community, raise awareness of the violations and discrimination they face, and ensure that their voices are heard. Through peaceful, lawful, and rights-based advocacy, the organization seeks to promote the fundamental rights, equality, dignity, security, and inclusion of Hazaras and to contribute to a future in which all people in Afghanistan can live free from discrimination and persecution.
